Get connected using Twitter at the conference

October 1st, 2009

We’re going to help you get connected using twitter at The Shifting Thinking conference!

We’ll be using twitter leading up to and during the conference, and you can get connected just by using text on your mobile phone!

Check out the Twitter Support page if you’re not already familiar with twitter – there’s a great intro video that gives you the heads up on the hows, the whys and wherefores…

Why use twitter at the conference?

Instead of turning off your cellphone at the conference you can set it to silent mode, and stay connected! You can:

  • blog your thoughts as they happen
  • ask questions
  • express an opinion
  • get updates on sessions
  • take part in quizzes
  • find out what others are thinking!
Whats a TED talk?

We expect that 80-90% of conference goers will have a mobile phone with them, and what better way to stay connected while you’re there! Follow us, we’ll follow you and everyone can start talking!

How do I get set up?

We will have Shifting Thinking Tweets on screen in the registration area so you can get the idea. We will help you sign up to Twitter, and get set up on your phone.

Meantime, you can:

We’ll check you at the conference and on twitter!

(Whilst twitter doesn’t charge for this service your normal text charges will apply as per your plan)
